QC Inspector 1
The Quality Control Inspector 1 is responsible for inspection and/or testing activities for all incoming products and raw materials, products manufactured at Mueller and products received as customer returns to ensure compliance to product specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Inspect and/or test all incoming products to ensure products are within specifications prior to releasing to the plant.
2. QC release testing of all cold pack products, Whizzer, first aid and trainer’s kits and MWrap products manufactured at MSM.
3. Demonstrate accurate documentation of testing results to support testing process.
4. Display excellent attention to detail in order to discover defects.
5. Troubleshoot quality issues and present solutions to Quality, Purchasing and New Products departments.
6. Test samples of new braces or new vendor products for sizing and product specifications.
7. Responsible to initiate and oversee nonconforming product issues.
8. Understand and comply with the Mueller Quality Management System and current regulatory requirements.
9. Responsible to train to become a certified internal auditor to ISO 13485:2003 quality standard and serve as an internal auditor.
10. Other duties or projects as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical requirements for this position are typical of a factory environment.
 Standing and walking up to 10 hours a day
 Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee will work in a factory environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
 B.A. or B.S. degree in a science-related field.
 2-5 years of previous experience working in a regulated environment
 Experience in SAP ERP-system software and Microsoft Office Excel and Word
 Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
 Excellent attention to detail.
